SP Infra Capital Ltd

Shapoorji Pallonji Infrastructure Capital Company Ltd (SP Infra) was incorporated in 1997 by SP Group with the vision of developing world class infrastructure assets. Building on the group's strength in contracting, construction and financing of projects, SP Infra aspires to become a major player in infrastructure development and operations in its chosen areas of business.

SP Infra has financed, developed and is operating/partnering with reputed international players the following major projects:
- A liquid fuel fired 105 MW power plant in operation since 2001 in Tamil Nadu, India - one of the early entrants to the privately financed power projects in India.
- A 94 km long toll road in operation since 2009

Taking forward the group's strategy of consolidating its presence in the infrastructure space, the company is poised for major expansion with significant new investments in the development of large projects in power, transportation, port as well as acquisition and development of coal mines globally.

Samalpatti Power Company : The group is currently operation a 105 MW liquid fuel fired power plant at Samalpatti in Tamil Nadu. The plant provides much needed electricity to remote areas.

Shapoorji Pallonji Energy (Gujarat) Pvt. Ltd.: The group is developing a 2640 MW imported coal based power plant in Gujarat, which will be based on super critical technology and is to be implemented in two phases of 1320 MW each.

Shapoorji Pallonji Solar PV Pvt. Ltd.: The group is actively exploring opportunities in the renewable energy sector in segments such as solar and wind.

Trichy Tollway Pvt. Ltd.: The group, in joint venture with an overseas partner, has successfully completed 4-laning of a 94 km stretch on NH-45 in the state of Tamil Nadu and is successfully operating the same on BOT basis. The tolling operations on Trichy Tollway began in September 2009.

SP Jammu Udhampur Highway Pvt. Ltd.: The group has been awarded the rehabilitation, strengthening and 4-laning of a 65 Km stretch in the Jammu- Udhampur section of NH-1A in Jammu on Annuity Basis. The work has commenced and the stretch is scheduled to achieve commercial operation status in 2014. The project is executed in compliance to Equator Principles.

The group is actively pursuing projects in the transportation space in India and abroad.

Simar Port Pvt. Ltd.: The group is developing an all weather, deep draft, direct berthing port at Chhara in Gujarat to handle bulk including coal, containers, POL/LNG, automobiles.

Besides, the group is also pursuing to develop other ports on PPP basis and Privatization initiatives of GOI

To cater to its own requirements and others, the group is active in the acquisition and development of coal assets globally
